I'm sure by now, everyone knows about our invitation to display BAA works in WKNO's Gallery 91. This is an amazing opportunity for all of us as artists to gets a much broader audience for our work!
The reception is Thursday, December 1st from 5:30-7:30pm and everyone is encouraged to bring as many people as possible! Gene is designing the invitation and we will have those available in both print and digital versions for maximum distribution.
The space at Gallery 91 is very impressive- tall ceilings and amazing natural light- and is ideal for large works and groupings. The requirements for displaying your work are the following:
- All work exhibited must be for sale (WKNO takes a 25% commission, so price your work accordingly)
- No nudity or controversial subject matter (common sense stuff)
- Pieces must be framed or gallery wrapped canvases with wires on the back for hanging.
- we would rather have too many than too few, so we are allowing as many pieces as you want to display. That being said, in order to represent everyone that wishes to participate, please rank your works in order of most important to display to least important.
- Becky McRae needs to have all the information for your pieces by November 8th (If you are able to have it at the November 6th meeting- please do.) This information is: Artist Name, Title of the work, Medium, and Price.
- She also needs a JPEG of each work- if you don't have the ability or would rather not take your own images, come early to the November meeting and she will take pictures for you.
- Drop off for works is Tuesday November 29th from 9am to 10am. They would prefer if all works came together. The exhibition committee will collect all works prior to this date for delivery at WKNO at the requested time. Your works will be available for pick-up on January 3rd from 11am-12pm. **They must remain on display for the entirety of the show**
This is going to be an amazing show! We will continue taking sign-ups for the food for the reception at the November meeting. We're asking for finger food- one/two bite type stuff- that doesn't require any special set up or utensils.
If there are any questions, please ask! We want this to be as easy a process as possible.
